James is from Atlanta, Georgia and did his undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill where he majored in Economics and History. He will graduate from Georgia State in May of 2015 with his Juris Doctorate and Master’s of Business Administration.
By working in the clinic, James hopes to narrow the gap between academia and real world work . He was initially attracted to the clinic because he saw that he could help real people while still in school.
According to James, “The clinic’s work is important because broker misconduct is a large issue in society today. Many people do not realize when they have been taken advantage of. Therefore, it is important for the clinic to educate Georgians and provide the resources necessary to resolve disputes.”
After graduation, James seeks to go into Energy, Securities, or Environmental law with the goal of helping companies realize that environmental processes can also benefit a company’s bottom line.
